Summary Domestic and gender based violence activist talks about being HIV positive and the lockdown

For the full interview follow me on www.patreon.com/ShawnBelluigi Soshanguwe FM sports reporter and domestic and gender based violence activist Meisie Mogaung talks about what the coronavirus means to her and her community. She talks about domestic and gender based violence and how the lockdown is a problem for some women and kids but then she also talks from the perspective of someone who is HIV positive and how she cannot afford to be sick. She also talks about the role of her radio station in keeping their reports positive and informative for her community. It is not easy for most of her neighbours to lockdown and not get paid. They live off very small salaries and hardly make ends meet in the first place and now they cannot work. People like Meisie are inspirational, the show us how some people are not going to let life get them down and their sole purpose in life is to help others that are not able to come to terms with what hand they have been dealt with in life. I learn a lot from people like Meisie and she inspires me to be the best me that I can be.
